Built to improve, designed to perform

Reflecting performance in every detail
The client, a new online learning platform focused on Laravel development, wanted a clean, distraction-free user interface that embraced the aesthetics of code. The goal was to create a simple yet engaging learning environment that felt familiar to developers — incorporating code-inspired visual elements while ensuring clarity for both beginners and advanced users.

My Approach
• Role & Responsibilities - UI/UX Design - User interface design - UX flow creation - typography and color system selection - responsive layout design - interactive prototyping • The Problem The platform’s early prototype was functional but lacked visual identity. Key challenges included: No design language that reflected the developer-focused audience. Overly generic layouts that didn’t communicate a “coding” atmosphere. Navigation and content hierarchy not optimized for multi-lesson courses. Need for a UI that supported both text-based lessons and interactive coding exercises. • Goals Create a minimal, developer-friendly UI with a code-inspired style. Improve navigation for course modules and lesson progression. Ensure easy readability for both short and long-form content. Design a responsive layout suitable for desktop and tablet use. • Process - Research & Inspiration: Studied existing coding platforms (e.g., Laracasts, Codecademy, freeCodeCamp). Identified common visual elements like monospace fonts and syntax highlighting. - Wireframing & Layout Planning: Designed a navigation system for quick access to modules and lessons. Created dedicated sections for code examples with syntax highlighting blocks. - Visual Design: Chose a muted light mode design with a limited pop of color. Used a monospace font for code snippets to reinforce the developer theme. Integrated subtle syntax highlighting colors into UI elements like buttons and tabs. - Prototyping & Testing: Built smooth animations for the landing page to make a strong first impression, clickable prototypes for lesson navigation and code block interactions. Tested with beginner and intermediate Laravel learners to refine readability and navigation flow. • Outcome Delivered a streamlined learning interface that balanced simplicity with developer-focused aesthetics. User feedback showed 92% satisfaction with the readability and navigation experience. The client praised the cohesive integration of coding styles into the overall UI. The platform launched successfully, gaining positive attention in Laravel learning communities.
